ANP/ACP Independent Prescriber

​Medical Staffing is recruiting an experienced ANP or ACP Independent Prescriber to provide locum cover at an EMIS Web practice in Somerset.

The practice can offer flexibility around the start and finish time, provided the clinician completes a 7-hour shift. You’ll manage face-to-face consultations and triage for patients presenting with minor illnesses and injuries.

Shift Details:

• Location: Somerset, TA6

• Date: Thursday 24 September 2026

• Hours: Flexible start and finish time, 7 hours in total

• System: EMIS Web

• Appointment length: 15 minutes

• Patient age: Must be comfortable seeing patients aged 2+

Responsibilities

• Conduct face-to-face patient consultations

• Provide clinical triage

• Assess and manage minor illnesses and injuries

• Assess patients from age 2 upwards

• Prescribe independently where clinically appropriate

• Maintain accurate clinical records using EMIS Web

Requirements

• Qualified ANP or ACP

• Independent Prescriber qualification is essential

• Must be competent assessing and treating patients aged 2+

• Experience managing minor illness and injury presentations

• Confident providing face-to-face consultations and triage

• Experience using EMIS Web
