Practice Nurse

​An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Practice Nurse to support a busy GP practice in Nottingham on a short-term locum basis. This role offers a mix of flexible and structured sessions across three days in August, making it ideal for a clinician seeking additional primary care work.

The successful candidate will be confident delivering a broad range of Practice Nurse duties, particularly in managing long-term conditions, medication reviews, respiratory care, depot injections, and childhood immunisations, while providing high-quality patient care in a primary care setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support patients with long-term conditions
• Conduct pill checks and medication reviews
• Administer depot injections
• Carry out asthma checks and respiratory monitoring
• Deliver childhood immunisations
• Maintain accurate patient records using System One
• Provide safe, evidence-based patient care within a GP setting

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Practice Nurse within primary care
• Confident managing long-term conditions, asthma checks, depot injections, pill checks, and childhood immunisations
• Experience using System One
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Shift Details

• Monday 17th August: PM only (14:00 onwards)
• Tuesday 18th August: Full day (flexible timings)
• Wednesday 19th August: Full day (flexible timings)
