Practice Nurse

​Medical Staffing is looking for an experienced Practice Nurse to provide ongoing support within a healthcare setting in the Gloucester region.

This opportunity offers regular Monday to Thursday work and will involve a combination of clinical and administrative responsibilities. The successful nurse should be comfortable providing a range of routine primary care nursing services.

Role Details:

• Location: Gloucester region

• Days: Monday to Thursday

• Duration: Ongoing

• Hours: 08:00–18:00

• Clinical system: SystmOne

​

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day practice nursing clinics

• Carry out routine surgery and administrative duties

• Administer immunisations

• Provide wound assessment and dressing

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using SystmOne

• Support the wider clinical team with appropriate nursing duties

• Carry out smear tests where appropriately trained and experienced

Requirements

• Qualified Practice Nurse

• Previous experience working within a primary care or GP practice setting

• Competent in administering immunisations

• Confident with wound care and dressing

• Comfortable undertaking both clinical and administrative responsibilities

• Experience using SystmOne

• Smear-taking experience is preferred but not essential

• Strong communication and organisational skills
