Job description
We're recruiting a Locum GP with a Special Interest in Sexual and Reproductive Health to support a well-established sexual health service in Middlesbrough and the surrounding areas.
This flexible locum opportunity is available from 24 June throughout July, with a commitment of 2–3 days per week. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you'll provide high-quality sexual and reproductive healthcare, helping to improve patient outcomes across the local community.
Key Responsibilities
As part of the role, you'll:
Assess, diagnose and manage a wide range of sexual and reproductive health conditions
Provide contraception services, including long acting reversible contraception (LARC)
Deliver STI testing, diagnosis and treatment
Support HIV prevention services, including testing and PrEP where appropriate
Deliver patient-centred care in line with national clinical guidelines
Work collaboratively with specialist nurses and multidisciplinary colleagues
Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to high standards of clinical governance
About You
We're looking for a GP who has:
✔ Full GMC registration and a licence to practise
✔ A special interest or experience in Sexual and Reproductive Health
✔ Excellent clinical assessment and communication skills
✔ A patient-centred approach to care
✔ The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
