We have partnered with a Teaching Practice in South East London who are excited to welcome a new Practice Nurse to their friendly and enthusiastic team. With a commitment to providing high-quality primary care services to a patient population of over 21,000 patients, they offer a supportive environment where you can thrive professionally.
Position Details:
· Job Title: Practice Nurse.
· Job Type: Full time/part-time hours available from Monday – Friday - Flexible with regards to working days.
· Location: South East London
· Salary: £36,000 - £46,000 per annum with an extensive benefits package including personal development opportunities (CPD leave entitlement) plus NHS pension, 6 weeks annual leave + bank holidays, on-site parking and much more.
· Team: Supported by 5 GP Partners, 3 salaried GPs, 3 ANPs, 5 Practice Nurses and 1 HCA, 13 Admin Staff, 15 Receptionists.
· High QOF achievement, Good CQC rating, and Emis Web practice who are very proud of its achievements with quality patient care being their key focus.
Patient list of just over 21,400 with low home visits.
Great support from an experienced permanent clinical team.
Offering 8-10 sessions with flexibility on working days and timings.
High performing with QOF and CQC, low staff turnover.
15 contacts/session with shared admin and prescriptions, mix of phone and F2F
About You:
· Experience: NMC Registration with experience working in general practice. General Practice Nurse experience with baby immunisations, wound care, Diabetes, Asthma or COPD experience advantageous.
· Skills: Excellent communication skills, effective time management, ability to work autonomously and as a team member.
· Personal Qualities: Polite, confident, motivated, forward thinker, problem solver, high levels of integrity and loyalty, sensitive and empathetic.
Main Duties:
· Assist medical staff in patient care, organizing preventive care programs, screening procedures, and patient education.
· Collect and process pathological specimens, administer IV blood samples, and conduct requested investigations (e.g., ECG, Peak flow, spirometry, audiometry).
· Supervise patients with chronic conditions.
· Conduct preventive services: immunisations, cervical screenings, family planning, weight management, smoking cessation, cardio risk reduction & fitness promotion.
